Hi, I am Katie Horrocks and I am a keen animal photographer. I enjoy taking photos of all varieties of animals and love sharing my work. I use a Nikon D500 camera with a wide array of lenses.
I won Longleat's junior photography competition in 2016 and was shortlisted for, subsequently reaching the final of, the junior photographer of the year competition ran by the national history museum.
I do some volunteer work at a few local animal sanctuaries, this allows some great extra exposure time. I do a little commercial work for Exmoor zoo, including their calendars and promotional pamphlets. I have also had a few photographs transformed into mosaic puzzles which are available to buy via their website.
I help out with Rainbows, a fun and exciting programme for girls aged five to seven, linked with the Girl Guides. I am also an admin for a DayZ server, a computer game I play in my spare time.
